Time & attendanceGuide 2 of 3

Read your attendance records

What every column means and where the data comes from

3 min read·Updated Oct 2026

1The columns

My Records shows one row per day: Time In, Time In Source, Time In Note, Time In Location, Punch In Image, then the matching time-out fields and Duration (Hours).

  1. Open Time › Attendance › My Records.
  2. Check the photo and location if a record is ever disputed.
  3. Duration is calculated for you — payroll uses it as-is.

2Reading “Time In Source”

The source tells you how the record was created: your manual web punch, a biometric device, or a workstation. If a source you don’t expect shows up, your device IDs may be misconfigured.

Bee’s tipBiometric device IDs must match what your time clock sends — your Admin configures this under System Users.

3Something looks wrong?

Fix it early — records feed KPI attendance and payroll. Raise a ticket under ESS Hive with category Leave & Attendance and attach the date and expected times.
